UNICEF
Although he has worked extensively for many charities, the welfare of underprivileged children has always been a special concern for Ken. He was made Father of the Year in 1989, and since 1988 has held the honourary position of UNICEF Australia's Goodwill Ambassador.

Powerhouse
The Powerhouse Museum is one of Australia's premier cultural institutions, presenting innovative exhibitions on design, decorative arts, industry, science, technology, and social history. In 1993 the museum invited Ken Done to completely redesign its restaurant-cafe. The beautiful new Powerhouse Garden Restaurant was unveiled in March 1994.

Hanako
In 1988, Hanako, a fashion and lifestyle magazine for young working women in metropolitan Tokyo was launched. The Chairman of publishing company Magazine House, Mr Tatsuo Shimizu, personally selected Ken Done as the cover artist. His art would create a unique identity for the new magazine, bringing the colour and vibrancy of the southern hemisphere to the Japanese city.

BMW
In 1989, Ken Done was comissioned to paint a BMW ArtCar. As a creator of one of these unique pieces, he joined an elite group of 13 artists, which includes Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella and Robert Rauschenberg.

Flag
"One day we will have a new flag. And I hope that day is sooner rather than later. A flag that symbolises what Australia has become since the beginning of time and a flag that can represent all people who were born in this wonderful country, or have chosen to make Australia their home.

Olympics
In 1999, Ken Done was asked by Ric Birch, the Director of Ceremonies, to create the programs for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Art Cow
Art Cow was part of the 'Moooving Art' exhibition which took place in Sydney in 2003 - a sister exhibition to the CowParade which began in Zurich in 1998, and moved on to Chicago, New York, Kansas City and Houston.
