Now showing at the Ken Done Gallery in the Rocks 'Summer Exhibition'.
Ken Done Summer Exhibition chronicles the artist's familiar world at his favourite time of year. From the iconic 1987 canvas ‘Chinamans in summer’ to new underwater works from a recent trip to the Great Barrier Reef, this celebration of summer forms a visual diary of the artist's life and imaginings. Done's conscious appreciation of the beauty of the natural world surrounding him forms the subject of many of his paintings. The view from his Cabin studio, the pleasure and inspiration of being surrounded by sea and sky and garden and his love of Sydney Harbour are all portrayed in paint.
Now showing at the Ken Done Gallery, 1 Hickson Road, The Rocks, Sydney. Exhibition open every day, 10.00am-5.30pm.
